The Lord has been speaking through recurring numbers. You may have been seeing numbers such as 888, 444, 222, 555, 111, 1111, and 333.
In this devotional, the number 8 is being connected with “New Beginnings.”
As we are in the month of August, the focus is on preparing for the new beginning you have been waiting for. Prepare for rain. The Lord is getting ready to perform miracles.
Amos 9:13
MSG
“Yes indeed, it won’t be long now.” God’s Decree.
READ THE FULL PASSAGE
“Things are going to happen so fast your head will swim, one thing fast on the heels of the other. You won’t be able to keep up. Everything will be happening at once—and everywhere you look, blessings! Blessings like wine pouring off the mountains and hills. I’ll make everything right again for my people Israel: They’ll rebuild their ruined cities. They’ll plant vineyards and drink good wine. They’ll work their gardens and eat fresh vegetables. And I’ll plant them, plant them on their own land. They’ll never again be uprooted from the land I’ve given them.” God, your God, says so.
Redo. Rebuild. Restore.
The Lord clearly states in Amos 9:13 that He is getting ready to redo, rebuild, and restore some things in your life, making them new.
He declares that He is about to make some things stable. He also says it is time for ownership and that you will never be uprooted again.
As the Lord’s decree, receive it and wait with expectation.
What did not work in one season does not mean it was denial. It may simply mean it was not the season for it.
Think about the man healed at the pool of Bethesda (John 5:1–15), the woman with the issue of blood (Mark 5:25–34), and the massive crowd Jesus fed with five loaves of bread and two fish (Matthew 14:15–21).
The Bible is filled with accounts of miracles performed by Jesus. He watches over His Word to perform it.
Like Abraham, if all you have is a word from the Lord: BELIEVE.
Let’s Faith It.
Let’s Speak It.
Let’s Think It.
Keep your heart anchored in God, your mouth aligned with His Word, and your expectation on what He is able to do.
Pray This With Expectation.
Dear Heavenly Father,
I thank You for this season of rain. I thank You for the doors that are opening. I know this opportunity and blessing is a miracle, as there is nothing I could have done to obtain such a blessing on my own.
Although I can feel that my spirit has already walked into the Promised Land and I have received my inheritance, Lord, help me to wait with a spirit of obedience and faith until I see the blessing as I feel it in the spirit.
I thank You in advance, Lord.
